Family, Friends and a Wedding

What a whirlwind week, from France, to Portsmouth, to High Wycombe, to Sopley near Christchurch, to London, to Chichester and back to France. 1,200 miles in a week and 30 hours spent in the car visiting family and friends and joining our niece Claire’s wedding to Rob. There was also time for some retail therapy on our last day. It was so lovely to see everyone, but our visits to each of them was far too brief, and as usual we forgot to take photos of lots of people. The wedding day was fantastic, Claire looked so beautiful and Rob very handsome plus the venue at Sopley Mill was a beautiful setting for a lovely day. One of the novelties of the evening was the arrival of a pizza van, a lovely idea and very different from the traditional buffet. We wish them both every happiness for the future. With 3 more weddings next year we are in for more whirlwind trips.

    1. Lovely to see every too, but it went way too quick. No chance of a rest here as the builders arrived early Thursday to start the barn roof and we've had a weeks worth of weeds to deal with. The figs are ripening to and blackberries to pick :)
