Moving Wood

An extra pair of hands is always appreciated but two pairs was brilliant. We had our first delivery of wood on Saturday morning and the lorry couldn't get in the drive, so had to pop the wood over the fence. We planned to move the wood to the hangar ourselves the following week, but Sheryl and Brian were keen to give us a hand. We moved the wood and stacked it in no time. It seems the trailer not only moved the wood, but took some passengers for a ride too. Their hard graft was greatly appreciated and the mornings work was rewarded with a Kir Royale afterwards. Thanks guys x

    1. Hi Vera. Not neighbours, but my sister and her partner visiting us from England for a long weekend. They were meant to be relaxing but they really wanted to help. We were so grateful and it was perfect timing as it rained the next day x

    1. You're meant to be here on holiday, but if you insist, I'm sure we can find you some jobs. You can definitely play on the tractor though :) xx

  4. Who knew moving loads of wood could be such fun - & I didn't even break a nail. Enjoyed driving the mower although I made a complete hash of reversing with the trailer! It was good to burn off some of the calories from the lovely food you gave us. Thanks again for a fab long weekend.
    Dibs & Brain :) xx

  5. Who needs to go to the gym, when you can move wood :) Don't worry Dibs, I can't reverse either, I failed miserably on Monday reversing down the orchard. Glad you enjoyed the food, but there were so many things we didn't get to try. We'll save them for next time x
